Peggy and Kiesler: The Collector and the Visionary
October 10, 2003–January 9, 2005
Peggy Guggenheim spent most of her life in Europe, but for a few years during World War II she lived in New York and operated a midtown gallery called Art of This Century. Designed by Frederick Kiesler, it redefined how art could be displayed. Peggy and Kiesler: The Collector and the Visionary celebrates the collaboration between architect and gallerist through photographs, furniture, and other archival material.
